DAY 2 Tuesday
MORNING
We went to Toruń today. It's a very old medieval city. Polish students prepared broshures for us so that we get to know the monuments of Toruń before we see them.
We really liked the Filutek monument - it was sweet.
Then we visited the Teutonic Castle in Toruń where we got to know the history of the Teutonic Order and a legend of the Leaning Tower and many other facts, legends and stories about the Order.
The fun part was the knight tournament. It felt as if we were in the middle ages, like Tristan or Zawisza Czarny. We shoot arrows and threw lances and horseshoes. We tried on the knight costumes and the boys enjoyed the fight with swords of different kings and the ladies were cheering them. We felt like one big team closer and closer together.

AFTERNOON
After a really delicious dinner that we all ate together (some of us tried żurek and barszcz!) we went to visit the Honourable Consul of Lithuania - Jerzy Bieńkowski. We told him where we all came from, that we were joined by the ideas promoted by FRSE and Polish-Lithuanian Youth Exchange Fund and that we work together on the project and on developing friendship. We also told him about everything that happened in the Teutonic Castle - the tournament and the legents. The Consul told us the story of the consulate in Toruń and what kind of activities he deals with. He all had a chance to leave the trace behind by singing the Visitors' Book.

Day 3 Wednesday
On Wednesday we all had breakfast and then after a short break we set off to work. That day's task was to create a medieval or at least knight or lady styled costume for the evening ball. Everybody was focues on the task and it took us several hours to complete it but it ws all the fun in the world.
In the evening Polish and Lithuanian teams together prepared the ball room and set the table. On the table one could find some Polish and Lithuanian food, for example sour cucumber, bread, goat cheese... Some time during the task we all learned to dance an old dance.
THE BALL was really cool. We started with belting knights and becoming ladies of the castle. We got certificates. Then after a short speed of ne of the knights we dances our dance. After that we sat down to try the food - it was delicious. Boys, like Tristan, took part in a tournament to win a lady's heart. Then ladies could show ther skills in a contest on the best ball hairstyle. That was unforgettable evening.

Day 4 Thursday
Thusday was another day that we went out of the castle. In the morning we visited the mayor of the county of Lubicz. We were hosted by the Secretary of the county and she gave us some information about the county and its places and people. The Lithuanians were presented T-shirts promoting our region.
After the visit we went for a walk, we crossed Drweca River and went through the town to the host school. There we worked on another tasks, Polish students showed us through the school. We had lunch at the school canteen and from school we went to Grębocin to visit the Museum of Print and Writing. We learned to write with ink and quills using old fonts, we also tried printing with and old printing machine and we made paper.
From there we went to Krobia and we rode horses like people used to do in middle ages.
We went back to Zamek Bierzgłowski and we planned to have a bonfire evening after supper but there was a thunder storm. So we had a fake fire inside, we sang our songs by it and we grilled our sausages in the oven. We also found some time to work on the lexicon of the knight virtues - we made a poster and then a ppt presentation. After that we sat down together to watch parts of "Tristan and Isolde" .

Day 5 Friday
Friday was a day which we devoted to working out two copies of the Chronicle. They were made in three languages: English, Lithuanian and Polish. We put our own pictures inside, we all signed them as the authors and after they were done, we presented both books. In the evening we all sat together to grasp some memories of our project meeting watching photographs tat we took during the week. Then we hugged and some of us even cried...
Day 6 Saturday
Saturday ws far too short and we had to say godbye. We packed in the morning and went to school. Our last task was to plant the tree of friendship. Every one had a go with the spade and when the hole was ready we planted our tree. Then the frewell tim came, girls cried again and we couldn't believe that was it! We just hope we meet again. For now we are left with social networking sites, emails, and telephones. It's so good we don't really live in the middle ages...
